How to Check IPv6 on iPhone and Android

Use the same browser test on Wi-Fi and mobile data because each connection may differ.

Run the check

  1. Use the same device and browser for both results.
  2. Record only the minimum details you need; do not share a full IP address publicly.
  3. Change one condition, then reload and compare.

Worked example

On iPhone or Android, open the connectivity test on Wi-Fi and record IPv4/IPv6 detection. Turn Wi-Fi off, wait for mobile data, and run it again. An unavailable endpoint is inconclusive, so retry once.

How to interpret an inconclusive result

Do not post detected addresses publicly. VPN, private relay, carrier settings, captive portals and browser filtering can change the result.

Run the mobile connectivity test

Limitations

These checks observe browser-visible network behavior at one moment. They do not audit encryption, account safety, malware, every DNS route or every application on the device.
