Run a browser-based test to see whether IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity can be detected.
Understanding the result
“Not detected” does not necessarily mean your device cannot use that protocol. Firewalls, browser privacy controls, VPNs and the current network path can affect the test.
How to read this result
Example: IPv4 detected and IPv6 not detected usually means this browser reached the IPv4 endpoint only. It does not prove that the device, router or provider has no IPv6 capability.
If both endpoints fail, treat the run as inconclusive. Filtering, captive portals and endpoint availability can affect it.
Troubleshooting
- Retry once on the same connection if a provider or browser timeout occurs.
- Repeat on a different browser or network before drawing a conclusion.
- Treat “not detected” or “unsupported” as inconclusive, not proof of privacy or safety.
